Car won't start engine oil pressure light came on

Just posted a question on the general forum area. But this is where I should really be asking the question. Oil pressure warning light came on after a couple of tries starting the engine. The engine wouldn't fire up. Any ideas? I have had the camshaft tensioner adjuster changed in the last couple of months. The car does not idle as smoothly as it used to but this is a very slight change that it is almost imperceptible. However the car won't start now. Checked oil level and battery voltage - all are normal. Any ideas?

check oil pressure switch and that cam sensor is pluged in properly or is making contact

I would get the car plugged into Vagcom asap and see if theres a problem.
