1st owner was a forum member who had it 5 years and sold it to the dealer i bought it from, it was mine between 85-104000 miles (3rd owner) and was an awesome car, i had the remap done at mrc and i'm sure another forum member had it after me (user name was m888sy i think)

It's had a full respray in the last couple of months and has what looks like filler on the boot so I'm trying to work out what's happened!!

I am the current owner of this awesome car and don't appreciate your comments regarding filler in the tailgate. I can assure anyone who is interested in this car that there is and never has been any filler in the tailgate or any other panel on the car for that matter. The only reason for the repaint was stone chips on the bonnet and arches. What car with 114k on the clock hasn't had even the smallest of paint to retain its looks. This can be varified by the Rugby Bodyshoppe who did the job in November. Viewing is highly recommended by any serious buyer. Regards.

Ross - no offence intended, I'm not trying to bad mouth the car at all just being a cautious buyer, and it's only my opinion which may or may not be correct.
It's missing it's rear badge which is where the need for closer inspection came from. And as an interested party I'm making the effort to find out more about the car, that's all. Anyone else who is interested would more than likely want to do the same.

Fair enough. I appriciate your reply. I would also be trying to find as much info as possible. Just looks like i'm trying to hide something which i'm not. I think i may purchase a tailgate badge to finish it off.

A respray can have an innocent explanation, like a fussy owner... for what it's worth I'd stick the four rings back on as it would lead to less questions from fussy buyers like me. Good luck with it, it's a nice car.

i know the current owner of this car and he is a top bloke.

i dont know the car personally as never had the time to go in it however, what i do know is that he has maintained it well and spent money on it since it has been in his ownership and a health-check at MRC, should alleviate any concerns any potential buyer has.

with respects to the re-spray totally innocent and all down to him wanting a nice perfect finish on the car.........

timk - if you want a straight honest car then this is about as good as you will find currently for sale.......

so why didn't you mention this in your ad when you were selling the car last year. http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... highlight=

and now suddenly it has these issues supposedly - i'd be inclined to take what you say with a pinch of salt......... http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... torder=asc

Those two threads seem to refer to different cars - one which m888rsy was selling at 108 k miles in May 2009 (which I think is the one Ross is selling), and another acquired in August 09....? Confused.com :(
