Tyres make a huge difference to how your car handles.
ideally you should run same tyres all round with the same tread pattern however others do run different pairs (i wouldnt tho)

Personally i have goodyear F1's on at the mo which seem to be pretty good.
other will prob say michelin pilot sport 2's

If you can tho get Vredestein Ultrac sessantas ( these are suppose to be awesome! in wet and dry conditions)

if your only going to drive the car in the dry then consider Toyo R888's (beware you will prob wear these much faster then the other choice of tyres of consider ie:4-5K a set and the road noise is considerably louder as its such a soft compound)

I have the Mich PS 2's currently, and am toyo-ing (see what I did there ;)) with getting the R888's for next year.
Someone yesterday mentioned that these type of tyres are going to get illegal in a few years - Brussels getting all excited about drivers having too much fun apparently. So I'd like to try them before they're gone...

Not too fussed about the noise - can't hear anything over the zorst anyways...!!

The Audi garage I bought my car from put Pirellis on which made the car tramline unbelievably badly. I was loath to change them as I'd only racked up a couple of thousand miles on them but I did - for Goodyear Eagle F1s. Soooo glad i did - totally transformed the car. Avoid Pirellis on a B5 RS4 like the plague.

Why you changing them stumpy? just to try something different or you not happy with them?

I'm due a new set soon, i think i'll go for the same again as they have never let me down wet or dry 8) ...Could be persuaded to try something different though if anything comes close to the ps2's :?:

They're ok to be fair, but as mentioned v expensiove, and to be honest no better than the Vredestein's which I have had before. But I also wanna try out the R888's too...

The Vredesteins are brilliant dry and wet. Don't discount them. AND they're only c£150 a corner...

Vredesteins are currently £108 per corner: http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php? ... 0s22p12436

Half the price of the PS2's!

The 35 profile tyres are £110 a corner, but the 40 profile tyres are £155 a corner. Not sure about you guys but I have 40 profile tyres... Are 35 profile too low??

Fair point....So you would definately put the Vredesteins up there with the ps2's? Interesting, i might give them ago as they are a good bit cheaper. I always have that saying in the back of my mind though...You get what you pay for :? Suppose i wont know until i try....

Nope they arent up there with ps2 check b7 forum discussions, they are a good cheaper alternative, they do less mileage though so arent really as cheap as you think as they dont last as long,i havent tried anything else on my b7 and probably wont unless im skint when it needs a set,on my b5 i couldnt beat the ps2
