Hot running? / lumpy on decleration

Sorry to confuse a thread from the start but I have noticed two issues recently.

(1) In traffic today, oil temp was creeping up to 110 mark and water temp also about 100. Not seen water go above 90 before. I this anything to be worried about?

(2) this is more difficult to describe, but the engine feels lumpy between 2-3k rpm. Seems fine under acceleration but noticeable on deceleration (ie foot off the throttle). It's a bit like the car is stuttering/ jerking forward as the revs decrease. Any ideas on this?

Any suggestions gratefully received (don't have VaG Com)

Worst case, if no-one nearby has Vag-com, would be to have a local firm scan the car for faults and then decide if you want to go further afield.

Haven't heard much about them, but GSF Motor Works in Wandsworth claim to be a German specialist.

Unfortunately, despite great intentions, Vag-com isn't something I've bought yet..
