Don't touch clifford with a barge pole!!! I don't know of anyone who has had one and NOT had any problems.
Yes they have loads of features but if they keep giving false alarms, what's the point?

My recommendations would be Toad or Sigma.

Had Clifford Concept 600 fitted to my RS and had no problems.

Got it fitted by Berkshire Car Sounds just outside Reading. They fitted the same alarm type to Bushy's RS4 (back in the days!); that is why I went to them.

Also got them to fit a Clifford Alarm 650 to wifes VR6. Its about an hours drive for me but would get them to do any further alarm fittings.

I'm happy with Clifford products and it is usually down how good the installation is.
No sig, no RS4 anymore

i have dealt with lots of cliffords and if they are fitted right there the boys, but i don't understand why you would want to, i had remote engine start on my old car which is very nice but the rs comes with a very good immboliser as it is, to make a clifford work they will bypass this norm by taking the chip out the key and gluing it in the steering column this takes the almost perfect immobiliser out and fits in one which can be traced and removed all that said that is to make it so the car can be started by the clifford, if you really want to do it keep the audi system and have a aftermarket alarm for the noise, i think its just too much hassle for me its got a good alarm as is end of the day i have never found a aftermarket alarm and cant get round within 20 mins factory systems cant be traced makes it alot harder

just my oppinion tho!

Totally agree with the above

The newer factory immobilisers are so good, hence why they are breaking into houses to knick the keys, as other than that there is hardly any other way.

As said leave the factory alarm/immobiliser, and put an additional siren (louder) as the original one is pants!

primarily its for the noise - the standard siren is pathetic i had mine go off in the garage and i was in the garden and could not hear it at all until my brother who was in the garage came out and told me to switch it off......

I'm going to look into this soon.

Can't be hard to wire in an additional louder siren

i need to confirm this on monday, however from what i've learned from some digging around you can remove the oem siren and replace with a louder one or as virdee has touched on added a second louder siren to the alarm
