When I started looking my preference was for full leather - as it should clean up easier if it gets spills on it. Bought a car with Hi Tech as the mileage and price was right (perhaps the price was depressed a little because of the Hi tec?).
I quite like it now and it does break up the "blackness"
iam the same i wanted leather but when i saw the condition of some cars with leather ie leather cracked no thanks ive got hi-tech i would not have it leather now
it holds u a lot better and it wears better
I dont understand !!! The hitech has leather side bolsters and thats what wears and cracks if not properly cared for! So same issue with either trim if not looked after
How many times has this subject come up. Do a search and you will get a nights worth of reading and it always ends in a slanging match.
Make your own mind up and dont worry about everyone elses opinion.
I had Hi-tech for 3 years and it was great. Did not wear at all, more grippy, cooler etc. It was also child friendly. I waited till the mark was dry, then you can brush it out (depending on what they drop). Leather is still nice though, so I was not fussed either way. Personal preference.
A8 3.0TDI quattro sport (every day)
B5 RS4 (the second one)
UR quattro (450bhp)
AC Cobra (replica)
Ford GT40 (replica)
A3 (Wife)
Sit on lawn mower (12hp....)
I've had both and would now choose Hi-tech all day long. More comfortable, less slippy and wears much better. A lot of RS4 interiors with full leather are really looking tired now.
