A request for Help!...

After being an RS4 owner for just shy of one year, I too was struck with Camshaft wear (late 2001, 70K and regularly serviced). This fortunately was diagnosed by MRC (see previous post http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... ic&t=77441 ) before it caused serious problems. As my car was purchased from an Audi dealer and covered by a Warranty, I hopefully (fingers crossed) will be getting the work completed under its cover. The Warranty company has excepted the diagnostic reports from the Audi dealer along with the more important photographic evidence from MRC (many thanks Chris).

Now my request for help. The dealer would like to replace all the Cam followers as a matter of course during the proposed procedure, but need to submit photographs of any wear currently present. As the dealer does not want to strip down the Cams, etc until the Warranty company has said ‘yes’ (saving me a considerable bill in the process), does anyone have any suitable pictures of followers with some signs of wear and not totally failed?

Any help would be much approached.
