Does the RS4 bend its wheels?
I'm potentially thinking of buying an RS4. In the short synopsis of the RS4 in Evo magazine one of the negatives listed is "Bends wheel rims". Can somebody enlighten me on this particular trait of the RS4. Don't fancy forking out for new wheels every few months.
Silver S4 Saloon
MTM Stage 4 (385 bhp), Mov'it Front Brakes, RS4 Rear Brakes, H&R Coilovers, Tanoga Shortshifter.

Re: Does the RS4 bend its wheels?
Here`s the story in a very short version :-
Bend wheels should have lifetime warranty. 3mm bendness and tyres not included i think.
Option to go to new improved hard versions but think they are only covered for the life of the car warranty.
Im not a RS4 owner but others here will know more than me.

yes they do. the orginal wheels are referred to as SOFT for a very good reason, they are soft, and bend easy. Audi will replace them under warranty for free with a harder wheel, or if you're in the UK, lifetime of soft wheels.
Or Install Sportec's or BBS and forgot about such things (to a point).

Re: Does the RS4 bend its wheels?
Don't panic. It's a minor issue. The only reason EVO mentions it is that some idiot wrote a letter to them complaining about the car a year ago and 2nd hand prices immediately dropped. Soft wheels did bend but not too often and are replaced free of charge. Hard wheels don't bend at all, except I guess in exceptional circumstances.
Installing non-RS4 wheels make the car look like is raided the aftermarket parts bin.

Standard RS4 (is it the only standard one left?)

That's fighting talk, that is .
Personally I think Sportecs really suit the car.
Cheers, viffer.

The RS4 style alloys used to suit the RS4 nicely before Audi fitted them to even its POS offerings
Re: Does the RS4 bend its wheels?
RS 4 alloys common as muck now. Even had a set on company A4 tdi!! Just fitted set of 19inch "ATP" to my S3, chrome outer and black inner - cool as penguin p**s. Saw silver S4 at Audi international with same set on - awesome. www.awesomegti.com had a green TT with same alloys but "silver" inner at Audi international - even better
Don't worry about bending them, if you can afford to buy one then you can afford to bend!!
