Fuel Pressure Regulator

Post by gb » Sun Nov 02, 2008 11:30 am

Hi All
I am looking to upgrade to a 5bar FPR prior to a re-map. Can anyone here recommend a decent item to fit the RS4 - preferably a non-adjustable item?
Regards,

GB from downunder

No point in fitting a 5 bar FPR to a B5 RS4, it will only put more strain on the fuel pump and might make it fail prematurely. Also, whose remap recommends a 5 Bar FPR???

Thanks S2
Revo suggest the FPR upgrade as an inferior alternative to larger injectors to help the injectors keep up at the top end.

I cannot get to MRC for a remap from Australia, and no one here has done any reliable development work with these cars - only 50 came DownUnder!

Hence I must resort to a generic flash, and Revo seem to have a decent product from my research. BTW, and FPR or injector upgrade is not a mandatory requirement for the Revo tune.

Is MRC able to provide a generic flash tune DownUnder?

If you can do without your car for a few weeks then it'd deffinitely be worth it in the long run to get your ECU flown over to Banbury for a remap. If that's the easiest way of doing it (cheaper than flying Mihnea out there, lol).
