Hi all,
I am going to use these calipers for my RS4 and I have been quoted EUR 800 per disk from Movit.
Is there any other possibilities to spend less than this price? Disks are 380x32, they say 800x34 will not fit.
Which disks for Movit 4M6 brakes
RE: Which disks for Movit 4M6 brakes
Try any of the Porsche specialists. (993 GT2 Cup discs)
There is a Porsche specialist in Belgium that does them at a very good price...... buggered if I can remember their name......

Just can't get the smile off my face......

Do you think they work fine with Movit calipers? Because Porsche use Brembo I suppose and I don't know if the hat/bell is the same.Silversea wrote:Try any of the Porsche specialists. (993 GT2 Cup discs)

the bell won't be the same
do you have the old complete rotors? you can change only rings if you have the bell
rings alone are available at Porsche (500€ each) or movit but i think that the rotors sold by movit are no more OEM Porsche...and the quality is not the same now!
the calipers are 4 pots Brembo (996 GT3 MK1 - 996 turbo)
the rings are (were!) from 993 GT2
solutions
1- buy complete rotor at Movit + bracket for caliper
2- buy Hat/bell and bracket at movit, rotor rings at Porche (the best solution but not the cheapest)
3- Brembo sell 380x34 rotors... the ET of the bell is not the same (+- 1 mm diff) but you will only have to put 1 mm washer between bracket and nut or to file (abrase) 1 mm from the bracket at the same place (i don't remember if it's +1 or -1 mm)
But i'm not sure that 4M6 are good with 34 rotors
Try to measure the pad thickness at Porsche , x2, and add 34 then you will know if it match
Last thing:
movit has change the floating system
before: float in bell system, rotor rings porsche gt2, the rotor rings center holes are round
now : float in disc system, the center holes are oval
So the rings are not the same...and they are no more OEM porsche rotors...
If you want to buy porsche OEM rotor rings then you need the old bell (float in bell) from movit
... and i prefer the float in bell system than the new one.
Brembo use the flot in bell system too
PS: i had the float in bell rotors with 4M6, and now i have the 6M1 calipers with the new rotors....
...i should not have sold the 4M6....!

Thanks Durit!
I am going to buy the calipers from a member here and he is so kind that he sent me also the pictures of the bells/hats. Here they are:

I don't know if these are old or new bells. Better if old so simplier to find Porsche rotors.
