Umm that is cheap... too cheap, what is it the recession or the tax banding that is making these people put cheap prices on their cars?

Although only one owner, mine is of same age slightly less miles (66k) and I paid over £20k for it back in October last year... not to mention the several thousand I've lavished on it with brakes / pipes / wheels and RNS-E! :-(

Depressing.... but I'm sure a drive this evening will remind me what's what!

Cheer up R5!! As I mentioned in another thread you just have to suck it up- I paid nearly 27k for mine last year- mainly due to the low mileage- and still no RNS-E, although I'm now looking into a B7 set-up..... Cheers for that Doug lol.
I was also selling a mint one previous owner 2000 X RS4 with 65000 m and even less toys. Ended up selling for 19.5k having had it just over a year and paid 24.5k from Fontains. Only just paid the gf back for the 7k she lent me to get back into another... sometimes life isn't fair but nothing makes me smile more and if anything my experience points to a kind of cyclical move in values- because of the rarity it is definately a supply and demand situation- I probably overpaid Fontains and then undersold myself before overpaying again due to the market changing. People like the security of a dealer/limited warranty packages but then whinge about the shortcomings ie the cost!! As time goes by there will be less and less unmodified/trashed/crashed cars about and I'm sure prices will ultimately hold. Most people appear to be committed to the well being of their cars so anyone who really wants one will do their research first and then pay the going rate based what else is about. I rushed into my first purchase because I couldn't wait and paid the price- but on the plus side its everything I want in a car and getting better by the month. And off my soapbox I go........
:ban: Cheers.

£15995 with 89000 miles 2001X- probably too cheap I agree- we should form a cartel and keep the club exclusive. Problem is not all owners have this site as a resource/reference and are using various price guides- or he really needs to shift it like I did last year as the new one was waiting!!!

Someone needs to go and see it and reveal all, I am surprised it's so cheap really, is there a reason?
I'd have thought Nick J would have paid that for it

untill you view the car, u can't possibly say its cheap!

Remember the 59k rare blue 2 owner car from a couple of months back, was £18k

My mate turned it down at £17.5k after we took a body work man on final inspection! :(

True, to put right a loads of faults and worn out bits can cost thousands and if the body is tatty or had loads of panels it'll never be right at any price.

Good point Andy - I may be in that area in the next week or so, so will definitely have a look if I am...

Thing u have to remember alot of these cars were the weapon of choice for get away drivers and there might not all have been stolen first or written off so won't show up on hpi checks! buyer beware(twice and three times)!

Check the wing bolts for paint having been disturbed, door hinges for same and spot welds inside the tail gate where back quarter joins(and inside the d piller where u remove carpet lined panels in the boot for spot weld joints!) :) there the body work give aways that are fairly easy to spot! :(

Nogaro Blue RS4

Post by steffos » Thu Jul 10, 2008 7:11 pm

getting a bit worried that the RS246 folks think i am trying to crash the market!! I have the Warwickshire nogaro blue RS4 for sale. Nothing at all wrong with it. Just that i am running my business from office at home now, and the RS4 isnt get out enough these days. It is without doubt the best car i have ever owned above the 911 and the M3. (911 spent more time in the garage than it did at home!).

It does have a few chips on the bonnet but apart from that is in excellent condition. Just wanted to put the "something wrong with it" conspiracy to bed and happy for anyone to undertake RAC/HPI or any other check. No finance outstanding and totally standard. Full history and parts always genuine Audi. I know the previous two owners and neither are Max power types, but pure driving enthusisasts.

Did see NJ but he tends to take cars on a sale or return and i wasnt happy with any old folks driving it hard when cold etc. Maybe i should up the price a few grand!!?! Would probably fly outta the door....
