another favour

Post by rog893 » Sun Mar 30, 2008 8:34 pm

Hi Guys,

Im afraid its another of those favour questions, im just about to buy my RS4 from a dealer in chertsey surrey, ive looked at it and apart from a few light scratches along the nearside of the car its fine, went on road test and drove absolutely sweet, no rattles or squeaks which i know they suffer from, no leaks oil or otherwise in the engine bay and it has full Audi history at camberley Audi, its done 80,000 miles is there anything else i should look out for, it will come with 12 months warranty, if anyone is interested i do have the reg no so we can check out if its known locally around the thames valley.
Hope you can help as ive just joined here at the forum because of my exciting purchase, blimey dont they ever gooooo, love it,
Many thanks Rog

Hi Rog,
Is it from EX Autos?
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/421603.htm

if it is this one it seems a bit too cheap and they are trade on Autotrader site but pretending to be private on pistonheads. looking at the reg, I wonder if it was owned by Lee Noble of Noble Automotive!
if it isn't this one so post the reg as someone should know it.

The buyers guide in the sticky section is worth browsing but your biggest problems with these cars are previous accident damage and owner abuse, make sure you HPI and get someone who knows about these cars to check it out, money well spent - the warranty will probably cover very little of any use so don't depend on that.

Good luck, they are great cars, just make sure you buy a good one!

Thanks for geeting back so quickly, the car is at stowick cars in chertsey, Guy who owns the company is excellent and it used to be weekend toy, its had everything done and he has recently spent £1500 on it making sure its all up together, new cambelt/tensioners, waterpump, cam cover gaskets, rear diff seal, the reg is X882DAU, hope this helps and someone knows the previous owners.
Again many thanks guys.
