317.4 bhp

Post by jimbo1234567 » Sun Nov 25, 2007 7:24 pm

hi all .i went on the s2forum organised rr day at dyno demon on saturday down on the wirral and my car pulled 317.4 bhp at the wheels equating to 400.5 bhp at the flywheel. the car has an mtm chip gutted pre cats and miltek dual system. while chewys stock rs4 with miltek cat back made 303 at the wheels =383 at the flywheel. so a chip and gutted precats= 14.4 bhp is this about right? it seems a little low but still more than both b7 rs4s .

I think that those results are a little low as most chips/re-maps should see you around the 420 mark. Mike's RS4 B5 with MRC remap, gutted pre-cats and Milltek cat back was 425bhp at the crank, equated from a 330.5 at the wheel. There are big differences in R/Roads though so try another one before you start getting too dis-heartened!

sounds low - something is wrong - i would ex[ect you to get another 10-20bhp - but then depends on theor cooling. What did the B7s do?

Agreed with Adam's comments entirely - sounds like your figures recorded are too low. Me thinks the RR may not have been correctly set up..Especially as the B7's were pulling in a low figure

At the Thorney RR last week-end, my car recorded 445.4hp at flywheel and 334.1 at the wheels. This is with a MRC custom remap, milltek downpipes and cat back....

I Know the guys from Dyno Demon (www.dynodemon.co.uk) very well and there running a Dyno Dynamics rolling road, which is suppose to be one of the most accurate. I stuck my 350z on it on two separate occasions and it pulled pretty much the same each time (within 1-2bhp).

Going to get my MTM RS4 on it, see what it pulls, should be around 428.

On what make dyno and what revs? If it's a dyno dynamics, in 4th gear it could be somewhere around 520 crank.
