Can anyone advise on the best set up for an RS4 running Bilstein coilovers with 9 point adjustable shoch absorbers and H&R anti roll bars?
Looking for optimum suspension height, damper setting and antiroll bar setting. Mainly for track use.
I appreciate that people will have varied opinions on what settings to use, but a general pointer in the right direction will be a good starting point for me to work from.
Thanks for your help.
RS4 suspesion set up with Bilstein coilovers and H&R ARB
I have mine set about 2 cm lower from max height on PSS9s. Dampers are set on 4 and very comfortable for road use. I will be trialling the 3 setting to further reduce rebound. H&R fat bars are set to max both front and rear. Feels very nicely balanced and controlled through corners as is. No noticeable understeer.
I think any lower than 2 cm from max height on the coil overs and you may start to need a camber and caster kit. Springs do seem to settle marginally after install.
If you are going to the track I would adjust the dampers to the 1 or 2 setting when you get there, but for road use 3 or 4 setting is ample.

I have the front heights set more or less the same as you, but the rear set about 10mm lower. It's still to get a full steering geometry check and adjustment, so the suspension will be raised if any settings can't be adjusted to spec' due to the lowered height. Not too concerned with the visual appearance of the car being lowered, but the set up needs to be right and obviously sufficient exhaust to ground clearance needs to be maintained too.
I've got the dampers set at 1 all round at the moment with the ARB's set to the hard/max setting. A brief run around the block has shown nothing untoward, so far. It actually felt softer than what I had anticipated.
Thanks.
