Technically yes, but I think Kiwi is on about replacing the two smaller intercoolers located either side of the vechile to one larger intercooler mounted centrally.
Too much is bad.
Plenty is better.

Re: Anyone running an FMIC on their RS4 ?
Their was somebody on the forum a couple/few of months ago, promoting an FMIC that was a quik install for the RS4. I remember a few of the guys were seriously looking at it.
Just interested to see if anyone actually did it, and what their feedback is.

I have tried to get some deails from Atchung re the FMIC that they posted on here, absolutly no response to any of mt mails / phone messages.
I also understand that Scott at AMD had the same response, ie none

Please accept my humble apologies. We have delayed the shipment of the FMIC units due to the delay in our manufacturer of the end tanks. We are now shipping the units about a week after they are ordered. I am so very sorry for not getting back to you. I do not recall most of the emails and I did not ever get any messages from the UK regarding this FMIC. Please try us once more, this time email Sales@achtuning.com and that gets to about 4 people instead of just me!

Re: Anyone running an FMIC on their RS4 ?
So how much and what is the shipping cost?
Can't beat a bit of boost!
Re: Anyone running an FMIC on their RS4 ?
I am wondering whether the FMIC is much better that the OEM?? I believe the MTM 600hp RS4 is only using the OEM item. Unless they have changed them?!
Re: Anyone running an FMIC on their RS4 ?
I believe it has a considerably larger surface area than standard RS4 intercoolers.
I enquired about figures to prove this (keen on it for my S4 where the potential benefit is much larger) and I think Josh is currently putting some stats together.

Re: Anyone running an FMIC on their RS4 ?
I am looking at this more for consistant performance.
You would not see a HP gain but should see lower intake
temps due to the siting of the IC and also the larger area.
And lower intake temp = less power loss due to heat.
This FMIC is I think some 100% larger that the std S4 items, ie pretty much like having an extra two IC's.
With the high underbonnet temps in our cars, (certanley in mine with the K0'4 etc) I see lower intake temp as a must from a reliability issue.
I am also hoping this will cool the air flowing into the wheelarches and therefore help the front brakes.
