Almost new RS4 B5

This must be one of the lowest mileage and as new looking as possible RS4 B5 for sale. Even so £35k does seem alot.

Bramley are a high brow dealership stacked with Astons, Porkers etc so I suspect it's pukka
It's odd for 2 keepers to have barely used it, even as a demo it could have notched up 2k or more.
What's a Quicksilver exhaust though?

Must have been in someones collection only coming out for a thousand miles a year. I'd normally agree with the argument cars are for driving rather than storing, but given the limited numbers of the car, it was always going to be special and someone must have wanted to keep it that way.

It could be that the original exhaust had rotted due to the moisture associated with lack of use and short journeys.

My '98 S4 has averaged about 4000 miles per year and the backbox not only looks newer than the rest of the system, it has a join which is not normal as it's a one piece, so most likely already replaced pre 28K miles when I got it. Compare that to this newer but drastically lower mileage again RS4 and it's likely it suffered the same issue.

A lovelly car, I like a low miler, but it'll only stand a chance of holding that premium price if it remains at similar mileage, no point turning that into a daily driver.

Strange colour choice and spec if you want to hold on to it as an investment IMHO. I would have thought the usual colours (avus, noggie, missy or black) would have been better, together with nav plus and full leather.

In any case, these cars are meant to be driven. I couldn't think of anything worse than paying £36k for a B5 and then not wanting to take it out and put miles on it.

That will be a fine one, if Bramley are selling it. A quick look at their stock list will get you going, some fine Motorbikes too.
Only question is as Graham suggests, do you use it, then it will be worth the same as the rest with 40-60k miles on it or do you dry store it for 15/20 years???

There was a goodwood green RS4 for sale on autotrader a few months back. It had 7000 miles on it and was for sale for £29,000.

Im pretty sure this is the same car. Just notched up a few more miles. Noone probably didnt buy it from autotrader or whereever else advertised and Bramley probably made an offer on it, exhausted it up and put it on sale with a ncie tidy profit.

If it was any other colour I think it would have been snapped up by now.

Is it me or is 9k miles maybe a bit too soon for a set of new tyres?

No doubt a great car, but definitely for the collector as has been said.

I'm liking Goodwood thou!

We had a red RS4 for sale a couple of months back here in NZ at a main dealer with 18,000kms on the clock, i nearly bought it, but red in this county with the UV in a nightmare, plus they wanted $90k. It was immaculate and had every conceivable extra you could think of from the factory on it!

If it's been sitting around I wouldn't be surprised if the sidewalls had started to show some signs of splitting, rather than the tread being worn out.

Have to agree with Graham. it would be a shame to pile mileage on it after all this time. But who could afford £36k to have something nice to look at in the garage and not put miles on it? Not me! Collector only me thinks!

Another way of looking at it though, If you would really like a B5 RS4 over a B7 and want a "nearly new" one, this is about £10k less than an equivalent mileage B7 and be much more exclusive!!! Would depreciate much faster though as you put miles on it!

They need to sell it to make a profit, and I reckon it'll be hanging around a bit at that price.

The Ford GT in Gulf racing colours is cool.
