you didn't know? I gave all my tricks to dave, including all my top secrets and let him map his car himself, because he could do a better job than I could have.

What body modifications are needed to fit these? And how much larger are they than the standard turbos?

He has plenty of maps.

On his Sat Nav.....

Ive ben in the car recently and I can say its running absolutely beautifully.

In two words, IT FLYS.

I think the methanol injection will make another huge difference.

When dave put his foot down, I tried to look behind me (whilst sitting in the rear) but with the push its hard to get back off the seat to turn round. And when you do, everything youre going past looks like they are in reverse gear. Thats absolutely mental to experience. And its deffinitely quick getting to the other side of the speedo.

How do the K16's compare with GT25's?
I'm looking to upgrade the standard K04's to something more serious in my quest to create an RS4 that'll bend space time when the pedal's to the metal!

GT25 are a lot smaller. I reckon they're even smaller than large K04s.

Can these turbochargers from 996TT be used for similar RS4 project? As I understand these are not water-cooled, right?

They won't be good for anything over 520 HP, maybe 540, and lots of lag.

What are the differences between these and 993TT the Dodgydave are using? I tried to find my answer over all the internet (mostly 911T sites) about differences between K16 found in 993 and 996 without a luck. One post was about different flanges and that's all....

I think there might be a difference between the size of the exhaust side port, that being the ones daves using is a bigger bore port on the exhaust side. Dont quote me on that though. Its a guess.

MK,

If I look at the pics of the 996 turbos above it looks like the port that enters the turbo exhaust housing is far bigger and would therefore not fit with an adapter onto the exhaust manifold. You'd need to weld a custom flange onto a custom manifold.

Also, the turbos I use are water cooled.

i can confirm this since that is what i am doing with hybrid k16's from a 996 they only have oil paths and a custom flange is needed, however they're cheaper than Dave's crazy turbo's... depends on your budget
