Got the motor on Saturday

Post by Norrs2 » Mon Jan 22, 2007 9:08 am

Picked up the car on Saturday - WOW!

Santorini Blue - (1 of only 4 apparently-I love it)
AMD Stage 2
51 Reg
Short Shift
Elec Sunroof
Cruise Control
Tracker
Silver Leather
Sat Nav/TV
FASH

This is the first RS4 I've driven and boy does it go! Totally amazing performance and the fastest car I've driven outside a TVR Cerbera. Lovely to drive, Recaros SO comfortable. The car is a credit to it's previous owner(s) it really is faultlessly clean. Couldn't find a mark on the car - really! Why I probably paid a bit more than average for it - worth EVERY penny.

It has a RS246.com sticker in the back window - so it's obviously belonged to someone on here at some point.

Hope you like it!

Still grinning! Yes Brooner, I think you've got it spot on from the documents I've got here. The reg no has been changed since then obviously. I'll need to find out if it's on the register here!

Frosty this morning (-4), I wish Audi (especially on motors like this) would fit heated washer jets to their cars - can't see a bloody thing for salt! I guess I'll have to fill up with neat washer fluid

Looking under the bonnet on my S4 I'm sure theres wires going to them, take a look. maybe it's just a fuse need changing

You're right! I have them too. I'll have to study owners manual to see how they're operated. Thanks!

Lovely looking motor and the heated jets work automatically, maybe a fuse or wire?

Perhaps the water in the bottle or pipes in frozen. I find most of the usual screen washes freeze unless over a 50/50 mix.

Norrs, I've got the exact same spec and exterior / interior colours - yours is the first other one I've seen. I was told 1 of 2, by the main dealer I bought mine from. Is our Santorini blue an actual standard Audi colour? I absolutely love mine as well. According to evo issue 100 the RS4 is an all time favourite drivers car, coming 12th out of 50.

Correction: have just re-read your posting. I have a kind of cream or caramel coloured interior leather, not silver as I've noticed on yours. But still beautiful.

Nice car,

I,m a new owner also

I,m guessing there are not that many in that colour available, if its the one i,m thinking about i had it on my list of cars to go and have a look at, i didnt get that far down it as i got my stickys on a Misano one before i saw it,

Hopefully i,ll get to see some of these cars this year if any one is going to any of the shows or events this year?

Just a thought.

Thanks for the nice comments guys!

Desmo

Nice to see at least one other one on here 8)

I've been led to believee that this is not a standard colour and was some kind of special order.

I saw one advertised on Autotrader some time ago (could have been mine or yours) and never thought I'd see one again, so when I saw this one I just had to have it.

Spent 4 hours on Saturday cleaning and polishing it, now I'm frightened to drive it

Friday morning, a Celica GT 4 with big exhausts etc tried to prevent me from overtaking him. He would have been just as well applying his brakes, it would have had the same effect! :FIREdevil:

Rather late than never, only by 8 months :D

That is indeed my old RS Norm, I'm glad to hear that she is still a minter!
The colour is Santorin (no final i) and was special order.

I'll happily fill you in on the history of the car if you like, I've sent you a PM.

All the best

Ben
