Saf, I wouldn't say a P reg car (Escort Cosworth, Corrado VR6, Porsche 993) was any more of a classic than an X reg.
They are 3-4 years older than B5 RS4 and have been appreciating for a few years now so they weren't an awful lot older than the B5 RS4 when their prices bottomed out.
B5 prices
I see your point.
But Im just saying that the prices for an RS4 will continue depreciating for a while yet over the next few years.
I dont see any Escort Cosworths about to comment on them. Very very rare cars nowadays, or kept in stroage and not used often.
Corrado VR6 prices do hold but the car is still around 12 years old.
I wouldnt say 3-4 years older than an RS4. Id say 5-6 years older. Which makes it around 11 to 12 years old. Still double than what the RS4 is. I can recall the latest Corrado VR6 were the limited Storm model which was around in 1996 on an M registration. Thats 11 years ago.
Porsche 993 is the youngest of these cars and at the most is 9 years old depending on which model youre talking about. The classic more popular ones were around at 1995, which was the turbo version and the Turbo S in 1997 although pretty much all versions of this car can be deemed as classics.
So RS4 is not a true classic yet. Will take another 3 or 4 years I think then we may see the prices holding steady. I guess we shall have to wait and see.

All Storms are N reg (mainly 1995), there are also 1996/N non storms and even the odd P reg though they are very rare.I can recall the latest Corrado VR6 were the limited Storm model which was around in 1996 on an M registration. Thats 11 years ago.
Regardless, let's wait and see!
