i have read the threads on launch with 4000rpm esp off etc
whats happening is i do this on a dry hot road and move forward, not as fast as i'd expect. drive train seems fine, i get a smell of warm tyres, good... then a smell of burnt clutch, bad....
is this of concern? the bad clutch smell lasts quite some time and is as strong as i have ever smelt...
the launch doesnt seem as fast as my old nsx or the s4 b5 i had before... odd...
has anyone thought of upping the final drive or first gear, as its awful low IMO...

launch
If it does smell the clutch a lot it does mean your clutch slip.....
You don't drop you clutch quick enough and leave a little bit of pressure on the pedal may be?
I do have a lot of torque on my car and launch it (very rare
) at maximum 3200 and i drop the clutch very quickly and it does work very well.
A bad launch at very high rev will ruin your clutch it will slip in first and even after you shift in the second sometimes....
It is 4WD the wheels will not spin and the torque have to go somewhere.....
