Rear caliper rubber boots

Post by JustinM » Mon Mar 19, 2007 11:23 pm

Does anyone know whether it is possible to range the rubber boots around the rear caliper piston and if so how difficult it is. My dealer says I have to buy new calipers !!

I'm sure you will be able to strip the caliper down to change them - If you can get them. Talk to the parts guys to see if the boots are called off or alternatively check the ETKA parts listing yourself.

You'll have to register - its free.

Failing that I'm sure the standard front Calipers are made by Girling check the caliper for the manufacturers name then try a motor factor.

If you can get the service kit which will come come with new seals and pistons etc. These are typically less than a £10.
