Broken Turbo
Broken Turbo
Yesterday a strange noise appeared after 3000 rpm and up it gets louder, something similar to a loud whistle but with some metal racked, I suppose one of my turbochargers is about to brake. So now the main question is: buy new standard turbochargers, or go for an upgrade. What do you guys think, I don’t want to go higher then 500 hp (now I have 450 hp stage 2 sportec) but I heard (from posts here) that a standard turbo is not reliable on stage 2 cars? As it spins faster than in can. I will be very greatful for any advise. Thanks.
RE: Broken Turbo
I'd call MRC to get a price on a set of rs6 hybrids , Bigger and better that a standard ko4 but they still fit . good luck . g

RE: Re: RE: Broken Turbo
Taymir FYI rs6 hybrids use k04 housings with rs6 internal compressor wheel so they bolt straight in place of k04's
wimbot you have a lot of interest in your post what are these KKK k04 versions, i guessed there should be some like the different k04's on the 1.8t but its never really talked about please more details

flashyg-
The K04/RS6 hybrids are a direct bolt on for the 2.7t. I would talk to Mihnea at MRC about possible power levels with them.
