Contacting Quattro Gmbh.

Post by Chubby » Fri Mar 31, 2006 5:24 pm

Hi Guys and girls,

Does anyone know how to contact Quattro Gmbh?

I have now found out that my rear disc (which are grooved or punched as they call it) were only supplied to German spec cars, and Audi UK will not allow me to order them. they want me to have the same disc but without the groove.

I have been given a fax number to which I have sent a request for the discs. No. is +49 - (0) 7132 318216.

Does anyone know how to actually talk to someone in Gmbh?

regards,

I noticed your rear discs at croft, afaik they are not quattro gmbh discs!!

Gmbh disc are cross drilled yours are grooved.... I would have a guess that someone has machined the grooves into the standard oem items......

Is that possible, without very very accurate equipment?

Can we still get the cross drilled ones?

Gmbh cross drilled discs are not available for the uk market....available in France, belgium....i think cross drilled discs are available only for the front not the rear.

btw, before someone does something silly, cross drilled are normally cast with the holes in to reduce the chance of stress fractures

Chubs, Any engineering shop with a cnc milling machine could do it.

Im' pretty sure that the quattro rear discs are cross drilled like the fronts are....Thats what got me looking at chubbys wondering wher they had come from with grooves in them......Anyone else know anything different please tell??

And yes, no-one drill there discs for godsake!! You'll kill us all!!

Hi Chubby

Kim @ QST was going to order me in the RS4 Quattro GmbH suspension upgrade, from Quattro GmbH themselves. He should be able to help, he should at least have their contact details.

Good luck

Ben

The MTM brake upgrade is the Brembo complete kit I believe, looking at the MTM website.

Its more that fact that on the pictorial view of rear brakes at the Audi dealership, it clearly states that 'Punched Discs' are available if you contact the Germany number stated.

The big question is why do Audi UK not supply a disc, which is made for the RS4 by Quattro Gmbh?

Why can they give you a number to get it direct from Germany, but not take the advantage of making some money themselves?

Big question, if the German disc has been tested and approved in Germany, why do the british RS4 owners not have the choice just because Audi UK have tested and approved another porking disc?
