Re: Living with an RS4 - comments please

Probably. Audi gave me a 50% of the cost for the cats as they are supposed to last around 100,000 miles. Clutch from what I have been told is even more so either going a long time before that would give you good grounds.

Re: Why we need to Decoke our engines

Might also be worth mentioning there is more than one level of clean as well which may effect your gains. I would never tell anyone on here what they should or shouldn't do. I only really post when I like something or have personal experience to do with a topic.

Re: Why we need to Decoke our engines

If you had already made up your mind and didn't want different views why did you post the topic.

That first three months of a whole 16hp your talking about for £900 a time really isn't worth it in my case.

Re: Why we need to Decoke our engines

Power drop is about the same in the B8 as in the B7 as I found a couple of weekends ago and took less than a year to build up again. I agree with Mike, its a waste of money getting the clean.

Re: Living with an RS4 - comments please

Couple of expensive jobs if your thinking of keeping long term. The cats have a tendency to disintegrate which is an engine out job costing around 5''k at a stealer and currently starting to go at around 50k miles get a good warranty, clutch is another engine out job costing around 4 k but I haven't...

Re: Think I've broken it?

Not good buddy. It may be someone was showing the launch control in the past too much. I think most people wouldn't give it the minimum 7 minutes between runs and it is brutal on the car and transmission.
