Ok. Not F125 related. Based on the info supplied I’d say it’s worth a punt to replace the TCU.

Sure, but I mean is it as soon as you start the engine, or does it go into limp when you first move the selector lever?

When exactly does your car go into limp? Is it on startup or is it when you put it in gear?

OK, just making sure because your symptoms sound a lot like a F125 switch and the TCUs aren't cheap.
Might be useful to say where you are located in case anyone has one they are willing to try in your car.

So they put your TCU into another RS6 and that one when into limp? And yours didn't?

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think the butterfly valve is driven (against spring resistance) by a DC motor using PWM from the ECU to control the force. The body has 2 variable resistor tracks in it (possibly doubled up for redundancy) - I'll have to dig out my autopsy photos to check. One tra...
