Re: gearbox tcu

Ok. Not F125 related. Based on the info supplied I’d say it’s worth a punt to replace the TCU.

Re: gearbox tcu

Sure, but I mean is it as soon as you start the engine, or does it go into limp when you first move the selector lever?

Re: gearbox tcu

When exactly does your car go into limp? Is it on startup or is it when you put it in gear?

Re: gearbox tcu

OK, just making sure because your symptoms sound a lot like a F125 switch and the TCUs aren't cheap.

Might be useful to say where you are located in case anyone has one they are willing to try in your car.

Looks good. Should work nicely with the Audi throttle body. You're making me want to do the same to the Rangey

Re: Throttle Body

Awesome. I was looking at MS for my Rangey, but I get the impression that they're not trading any more. No availability on anything.

Re: Throttle Body

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think the butterfly valve is driven (against spring resistance) by a DC motor using PWM from the ECU to control the force. The body has 2 variable resistor tracks in it (possibly doubled up for redundancy) - I'll have to dig out my autopsy photos to check. One tra...
