Re: Heater controls ?
I used the stickers you get off eBay and although they’re fiddly to get a good finish on look very convincing when done.

Re: I f##king hate car dealers!!
Why hate on them? Just because they’re advertising at that doesn’t mean you have to pay it?
To be honest if they all went for sale at that price it’d be doing us a favour for appreciation.

Re: Another gearbox problem
The pick up is integral to the filter and there are two options that fit but one is specific to the RS6 in length.
Also any backstreet garage would have probably used normal red ATF and the Rs6 needs a green coloured oil you get from Audi direct.

He does sum up the C5 well though, everyone loves them but nobody wants the responsibility of owning one!

Re: interesting little watch
I don’t have the seat memory buttons or that bodge of a battery box in the boot?
Very clean example though, must be even rarer out there

I booked with another club as at the time I searched for a rs246 stand and couldn’t see any. Shame as I’d much rather be with yourselves too.

Crazy first thing I did when I got mine was change the arms, didn’t even know the dreaded lunch bolt was an issue on these, mine came out perfectly.

Mine are pretty tatty too, looks as though the silver paint on the inside is starting to peel away.

Re: This is going to hurt
Terrible situation, I was once encircled by several aggressive mechanics when I refused to pay for work on a Subaru under similar conditions, it’s not a nice experience. Now you’ve payed I fear you will have a nightmare getting anything back as effectively it’ll have to go to court and you’ll have t...

Re: KW question
V1 - height only
V2 - height and rebound
V3 - height, bump and rebound
Clubsport - all the above plus camber adjustable
I’ve got the V3 set to mid bump/rebound don’t find it particularly harsh? It’s not so low it’s on the bumpstops is it?

Re: C5 RS6 avant manual 778PS/869Nm - not what you think
Doesn’t look that bad to me, if you can find one breaking for the bumpers, wing and headlight then I reckon £400-£500 to repair that rear quarter at a reasonable body shop.
It’s quite a beast, would love to drive a manual version to see how it feels.
