Re: 'Duffed up' by a 7

Got a bit 'duffed up ' by a black mean moody RS7 this morning on the A507. Anyone on here? Normally it would have been a different story of course, Here's my defence? 1) It was very foggy 2) It was busy with commuters 3) I don't know the road and camera situation that well. 4) It's a bit 'kin early...

Re: Revo stage one

Revo stage 1 and 2 are similar to the ABT maps, aimed at drivability which has resulted in a smooth drive opposed to out and out aggression. Ive had MRC stage 1 first then stage 2 and did 32k in under 18 months. With this car Revo stage 1 and now 2 set at 99ron. 5k appx so far. Nothing has broken s...

Re: Claiming for loss of value

As far as I know, the ‘it’s just a car’ is the likely advice. Won’t be any loss in value to the car as it won’t be recorded. If repaired by an Approved Audi body shop, no reason to doubt it won’t come back as good if not better than when it went in. Did you declare the Carbon rear diffuser as if not...

Re: Rs6 vs Mercedes e63s wagon

Obviously it's not Quattro as that's Audi's trademark. What makes you think Merc's application of 4WD is any worse than Audi's? My 911 hasn't got Quattro, but it's as capable as any of the numerous RS products I've had in the 4WD dept. Likewise my Junior RS6 has got Haldex 4 Motion, but feels exact...

Re: New 22's and front splitter on

To be fair Gaz, i'd be pretty sure you'd get similar responses from any car Forum. Making quite drastic changes to a cars appearance is something most car enthusiasts don't buy into. I'd also guess that most C7 RS6 owners are huge fans of the way the car looks from the factory & thus would unlikely...

Re: Roof bar recommendations

I'd check what Audi suggest, as with the A8 it was only Audi that supplied the correct fitting kit.

Does the RS6 have roof rails? I've used the Thule Aero Bars for bike careers & a roof box & TBH would take those over alternatives given how practical & versatile they are.

Re: New 22's and front splitter on

Looks a pointless read to be fair if you don’t care :) A strange response given you've asked people what they think & then back it up with you don't care. Personally i think the style of wheel looks OK, but they look too big & thus really don't suit the car. If Audi thought it was a good idea, they...

Re: "Mobile still connected" reminder

It might be configurable somewhere in the VAG software. Our 'Shopping/Nursery' Golf (MK7) does it, and the phone doesn't even have to be plugged in. As long as the phone is connected via BT when the ignition gets turned off, the "Don't forget your mobile device" message appears on the screen. Likew...

Mmmmmm like. QST reckon they can get one to sub 3seconds 0-60. £4K mind you...but that would be awesome.
Bit rich for my blood & can't see any Warranty remaining in tact at that level:)

Will stick with my £1000 worth to get to this point & leave it there (i hope).

Re: New Golf 7.5R

Had the APR Hi-Torque tune applied on Sunday, along with some VWR aftermarket parts to improve airlflow to/from the Turbo. All i can say is this has transformed the car (hardly a surprise). Acceleration is now relentless in all gears & it was hardly slow when stock. No idea on the exact gains, but A...

MRC or bust.

Just don’t grumble if you blow something up and warranty work is refused.
As above.

Other tuners are available, but if i was having any Audi RS mapped, MRC would be where i'd be heading.

Re: Google Maps not downloading

Got one in my A8 & Google Maps usage every now & again along with other Online Services, doesn’t even use 100mb a month. I don’t drive the car that often or use Google Maps every journey, so constant use would maybe eat 400mb of Data a month.

Re: New Golf 7.5R

This is interesting as it did seem a bit pointless without an audible warning. I think the main fact that stop me doing it was that I had to sign up and pay to join and get the camera info in the first place. But this audible version might be worth trying. Hi Mike, This is the link to the item i pu...
