Re: Suspected Aux Rad Leak
I have noticed the coolant level dropping so a leak is likely. For those that have had the CAF mod does this present any over heating issues in hot weather in start stop traffic as you are effectively removing part of the cooling system? Will a CAF give any performance gains or is it simply a case ...

Re: Suspected Aux Rad Leak
From MRC website: Cold Air Feed Removal of RHS radiator, air box flap and addition of cold air feed with trumpet. This will give more consistant intake temperatures and with a high flow air filter is the best you can do for consistant low temperature and high flow intakes. Requires a stage 2 Remap w...

The Atom and the Ultima are very nice cars but both are track cars not daily drivers.

It is required if you do the full cold air feed as carried out by MRC.adsgreen wrote:Remap not required for caf.

Re: RS4 BRAKE JUDDER
Isn't this a classic case of brake pad residue building up on the discs after a bit of light brake usage?

Re: Suspected Aux Rad Leak
And if it is the drivers side that needs replacing, don't bother replacing it, it will only fail again. Take it to MRC and get a cold air feed fitted instead. By the time Audi charge you the labour for the removing bumper and fitting, plus the cost of a new rad it works out cheaper to get the CAF in...

Re: Suspected Aux Rad Leak
If you have a leaking aux rad it will only do it when your car gets vey hot and you have been siting in traffic otherwise the aux rads are not used and therefore it might appear that you no longer have a problem.

Re: New wheels are finally fitted, now rolling on 20's
Well in that case you are right about only 1mm dofference. And in case anyone is wondering which direction the difference is, you have the equivalent of 7mm spacers on the front and 9mm on the back.
Edit: in case of any doubt my answer here is aimed at Adrian not Martay.

Re: New B7 Owner - I hope !
Well done Gavan, good choice of car. Photos or it never happened! Don't think I've ever seen a saloon in white (that wasn't wrapped). To answer your earlier question, the change in exhaust note is not immediately obvious from inside the cabin at tickover with the windows closed. If you stand outside...

Re: New wheels are finally fitted, now rolling on 20's
Marty Go to this site and put in the original dimensions eg 9inch width and 29 offset and then the new wheels dimensions and it will tell you how much the new wheels will stick out. Play around until you find the offset that extends the outer edge of the wheel by however much you want yours to move ...

Re: New wheels are finally fitted, now rolling on 20's
ET30 before the spacers... standard are ET29 i believe so only 1mm difference.. The 1mm difference would only be true if your new wheels were the same width as the originals. As the originals are 9" wide and yours are 9.5" wide , if I'm not mistaken you'd need half the difference, (0.25"), in the 2...

Re: Got £40k what do i buy thats equal or better than the RS
Ive realised that real nascar noise is only really possible with normally aspirated engines so youre looking at the r8 v10 from audis stable unless you want a c7 s6 If you want NASCAR noise, get yourself any Audi RS with the 4.2 V8 and stick a Tubi Rumore exhaust on it. Just be prepared for annoyed...

Re: DRL bulb replacement....
I appreciate that but the post said that if the car detects no bulb you get a warning then it turns the circuit off. My car detects no bulbs but it doesn't turn the circuit off as they still turn on.
