Re: Vpower -Intake valve carbon?
I always used Optimax, then V-Power. Might have slowed build-up, but it didn't stop it.

Re: Strange Noise from Front when front shocks compress
OK. I'd still suggest taking the mechanic out if possible/you haven't done that yet.

Re: Strange Noise from Front when front shocks compress
car pitches downwards aggressively.
This sounds completely wrong - something is up, I would suggest. Can't help with what it might be, though. Have you taken the mechanic out so that he/she can experience the problem, or just described it to them?

A Scandi Flick
The latest Grand Tour episode feature an Impreza, a Mitsubishi Evo and a B7 RS4. Silly in parts, but worth watching.

Re: New B7 Owner questions
I suspect the TV tuner is analogue only, and I believe these were switched off a decade or so ago.

Re: New B7 owner with some questions!
RE brakes - not sure, although I think that link is for a single disc, and the one I linked to is for two, I think. As I say, they do flash sales, as it's still more expensive. Audi would be asking £1,400+, I believe, for parts alone. I had a Forge cooler fitted - cheaper than an OEM replacement, an...

2) I opted to keep the car as original as possible but added a Denison GBL3AI2 ( https://www.dension.co.uk/ ). It works well for calls and music. You have to remove the CD player but the installation is pretty straightforward. Happy to support, if you end up going that route. Good luck You're an Ap...

Re: New B7 owner with some questions!
3) The MRC map does up the rev limiter a little - I wouldn't be banging into it continually, but using the full rev band should be fine - I've had mine for 15 years and have always done so when having a little fun, with the obvious proviso that it needs to be properly up to temp before doing so. Non...

Re: CRS Performance/Shockerboy's DRC replacement setup.
Having driven around the village today, I think the ride is generally quieter too. EDIT: More miles on the clock since fitting, again all on roads I know well. It may be that I am acclimatising (and spending less time thinking about how the car drives), but it feels as though the shocks have loosene...

Re: CRS Performance/Shockerboy's DRC replacement setup.
Stock - fronts are still original and in good nick, but rears replaced last year.
I'm glad it helps - it's the sort of information I'd ideally have wanted when I was deciding what to do.

CRS Performance/Shockerboy's DRC replacement setup.
Given that DRC failure is something most of us will get to face at some stage, and that Shockerboy's setup is mentioned here as a possible solution, I thought I'd do a more detailed writeup than I've managed to find - and count my blessings that I had 15 years out of my DRC... Ride: A slightly mixed...

Surely they would have succeeded if that were the case? Mine was at 406 pre remap and whilst needing de-coking.

Re: ADVICE PLEASE, AND WHAT A SHOCKER AT MRC
I suspect they are the full 420PS at factory gates, but no car stays at 'new' condition forever as a result of wear and tear and in the case of some (such as the B7) carbon deposits.

Re: ADVICE PLEASE, AND WHAT A SHOCKER AT MRC
It's not reasonable to expect a car's value to increase in line with what you spend on it, really. What needed doing? They are quite complex cars for their age, and there are a few big bills in the pipeline for owners - you may just have been unlucky and that they have all fallen to you in one go. A...

Re: I would like ears on a Milltek….
The map is worth it. A bit more power, a noticeable slug of extra torque and full throttle in the lower three gears. Restriction in this respect is why the standard car has a noticeable step up at 5,500rpm or so. This is what adds the most in term of pace.
