Re: RS6 performance

Good to see Autocar on the pulse….mention of dual clutch gearbox which it isn’t, of course.

Big price uptick. Audi discounting?

Re: Any Towbar Options? 2013 RS4

You dealt with many insurers and/or their legal teams?!

That’d be brave in the extreme, insurer would be within their rights to withdraw policy.

Re: Any Towbar Options? 2013 RS4

Currently for sale on AT. Clearly all mountings are there for a tow bar. I have seen others fitted with a tow bar too. When I enquired with a local tow bar guy, he said it could be fitted but he wasn’t legally supposed to due to not being homologated for a tow bar. If it was just for a bike rack I ...

Re: RS6 performance

As in eat a lot of pies?

As Harry Metcalfe has observed…..

So the new hybrid 4-pot Mercedes C63 is 100kg heavier, with no one sitting inside, than my s/c V8 Jaguar Project 8 is with 4 adults on board.

Re: C7 RS6 - Weekend hoon?

As an only car it’s OK. But it’s heavy and wide, not ideal for B road blast. You’d have more fun in something smaller and less powerful.

Re: RS6 performance

Max that engine makes is in Urus at 641 and I can’t see it being wound up to those levels in this application. More likely is hybrid drivetrain, make good numbers but it’ll weigh as much as the sun.

Given how Audi have approached other sectors I cannot see them outgunning anyone here.

Re: C7 residual values holding up

Good news on your B9. Based on what appears to be selling in the B8/.5 world I think I’m going to be getting my money back after 2 years of ownership which is frankly fantastic. I’m just concerned about the value of what I purchase. Value of the C7 has historically been strong but I don’t want to b...

Oh, and the fuel. 90 litres of v bastert best part of 150 notes, and gets you 200-250 miles. Less if rev limit tested.
I have a stage 2 RS6 V10 :biggrin3:
Even so, it’s a whole new level of consumption.

Just go in eyes open, F experience is wonderful, don’t let it blinker!

Porsche sweet spot?

Thanks for the feedback. It's just an itch I'm now able to scratch (that I never thought I would) apart from the garaging/storage at the moment. It will be a 2nd/3rd car. I plan to keep the RS. Was going to buy a 911 turbo S as 2nd car initially. Just was treated badly by porsche colchester, and ve...

 Viewing the 296 GTB today >.< That’s a somewhat different prospect to a 911. Are you actually interested in ordering? I’m likely to move the F12 on. My only other observation is to ensure that everything your side of the network can manage full duplex GB. A lot of domestic kit can’t, not even close in many cases.
