RE: Porsche Wheels?!..

Looks strange, I'd half expect it to drive off making the sound of a flat six.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Warranty

Wayhey! This just sounds too good to be true, but if it is, the RAC are going to have a lot of C5 RS6s on the books. It could cripple the RAC's operating budget if we all pop our transmissions in unison!

johnny11 - can you share the fineprint? I'd love to look for holes.

RE: Sometimes i wonder why i bother!

I like a diiiirty car, especially dark colour cars. The yuppies in Sydney use to buy designer spray on mud for their 4x4s. No need for that stuff on London's mean streets, bit of light drizzle here and it looks as though you've parked in front the monkey enclosure... after curry week.

Bam Bam- one word, WARRANTY !! :kissmyrings: Actually David, I've had it up to the neck with Audi and I've only had the car since xmas. As Grizz said, if it's the type of sump leak that EVERY '6 has then I'd let it go on advice. MRC gave it a health check four days prior to service and they didn't ...

Ha! Did he return it with ANY depth left on the rear rubber?
Awesome, I'd be breaking stuff on the Z4M every other day to get back into the Vantage.

Re: RE: Bloody typical.....

The offside Intercooler in that car is only around 8 months old so is still covered under the 2 year Audi parts warranty. Sorry, my mistake, I should stick to the standards. OS=right/UK standard driverside, NS=left/UK standard passenger, correct? I was told by MRC that the OS (driverside) intercool...

RE: Bloody typical.....

It's the black sal (David K's previous car) and it is a case of warranty pays. It was the second C5 RS6 crank seal jobby they had that week and third in as many weeks. I'd had the car health checked at MRC 4 days before the service, they reported that the left-side intercooler was leaking during a p...

RE: Bloody typical.....

My is in at Camberley Audi for 20k service - turns out I need new TMPS, DRC, brake fluid, power steering pump + pipework, OS intercooler and crank seals. Their LIKE-FOR-LIKE is in the form of an 2009 A6 TDI 3.0 S-line. It's a lovely car and I'd be really proud to own it, if I was born in 1932. It's ...

I bought Darth on heart, it was the second '6 I'd seen and I knew it was looked after, I had a good rapport with the owner. I knew it was driven hard but never put away wet (I'd done my research). However, it ticke most boxes. My original car choice was a 933 but I just couldn't get past the age and...
