Re: Servicing in London/Essex Area

Chingford is the worst I've ever had to deal with. Once I booked a visit weeks in advance, turned up and got told they can't do the work cos the only guy that can do this job is on holiday. The problem with East London is there's not much choice so you're kind of stuck if looking for franchise deale...

Re: Low oil light coming up but 3/4 up the dip stick ?

That's 3/4 up measured as instructed in the manual?

I had this once in the past after an oil change - oil was right in the middle of the range but just topped it up a bit closer to the max line and sorted itself out

Re: RS6 C6 for sale - anyone know it?

Something to note the ad mentions only 3 services on a 2009 car, I'm guessing most people would run these on fixed servicing (oil change every year) rather than the long life schedule. Also on the last one there should have been spark plugs done (60k/6yr) That'll be 450-750 depending on where you go...

Re: C63 AMG ????

The new E63 (finally an AWD model) has had excellent reviews... interior is great too

I bet the old one would engage traction control as soon as you look at the accelerator in current British weather

Fine wire wool, Meguiar's NXT Metal Polish and they'll be looking brand new.

Re: Audi warranty-renew or not?

I wouldn't run one of these cars without warranty myself... there's not much that can go wrong which will cost less than £500 to fix once you take in to account the extortionate Audi labour rates. I would also jack up the excess to the max and don't add Audi Assistance (just get RAC cover separately...

MOT fail

So it failed on "Exhaust emissions Lambda reading after 2nd fast idle outside specified limits" Expected range 0.97-1.03, reading was 1.046 So the tech asked how often I use it... noted I do low annual mileage (and when I do drive it, it's mostly city driving), so suggested I go drive it around hard...

Re: Warranty claims

9 over 5-6 years is fine

I'd only consider it an issue if the same thing had to be repeatedly done, in which case there may be some cause for concern.
