Re: Poor performance?!

when my turbos failed other than no power and lumpy idle there was nothing to see or hear. Not sounding great

Quality looked very good. I only ran them for a short time before I sold the car. Around £250 each

Re: Misfire

It’s just turned 4 years old now. The misfire is not that bad and is not throwing up the engine management light. Hoping it’s just something like a dodgy plug or coil. I’ll hopefully have an idea mid afternoon if it shows anything on the diagnostics. My missfire, rough idle and lack of power turned...

Re: Back pressure causing misfires from Stage 1 remap

2 trains of thought here. after you do the plugs and coils etc 1. There was a tech bulletin issues around valve springs causing a misfire 2. Oil scraper ring sticking causing a misfire My RS6 stage one with milltek did it as did my RS7 stage one. both 2015 cars. reducing torque midrange more or less...

Think he got it while waiting for the Jaaaaaag. Plus, Dave won't hold onto a car if its going to lose a lot of money.
deffo lose money on these things. Lose money on nearly every car I suppose. Would be a good buy once prices settle and pattern parts start to become available.

Re: Mclaren mp4-12c

I was lucky to own one for 4 months and do 4K miles, including a full Circuit Days Track day at the Nurburgring Got out of it just before the £4K warranty renewal and got what I paid for it back. It’s since lost another £15k depreciation ... I sometimes wish I’d kept it as it’s a full blown Superca...

Re: Mclaren mp4-12c

Ok done loads of research. Deffo not the car for me. Only due to crazy service parts. Don’t mind buying and fixing cars but I won’t be held to ransom over parts, never mind failures. £4k for a heater control

Re: Mclaren mp4-12c

If you can't afford to run it new, you can't afford to run it used... servicing and parts never get cheaper. That's a hell of a lot of car for sub £80k though! Affording to buy or run it is not an issue, it’s all about what I am happy to spend on a car for me. I have never been into flash cars, jus...

Re: 4.0TFSI Turbo failure

I’d be interested to see the engine oil changes on these cars out of curiosity more than anything Mine has been tuned since December of last year and have done engine oil service and spark plugs amongst other things every circa 5k miles.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Mine had full dealer hist...

Re: 4.0TFSI Turbo failure

Hi All, I’ve recently experienced the same issue on my C7 RS6. Oil strainer blocked and considerable damage to the turbo housing. Currently being refurbished. Due to come back to my mechanic next week so hopefully will have her back on the road. Although I have high miles it’s still 2015 and disapp...
