Think I was billed for 5.5 / 6 hours labour for coilovers & all front arms replaced.

Re: Coilover conversion - labour time?

depends on a few things-to remove strut easily the front pinch bolt must come out-or here is extra time to remove the front upper arms from upper mount to fit and set up i would budget for 3- 4 hrs with most give or take-and dependant on what method they use for existing rear spring removal some may...

Re: B7 RS4 Avant for sale - Daytona Grey, Ceramic brakes

hi-it would be financially beneficial to flog the front brakes taking somebodys std ones separate-let them to the work and coding
car probs worth the same[ish ] either way -and possibly 3.5k in your brakes for a deal give or take-imho
just saying-glws either way

Re: Intermittent Brake warning light after new pads

if this keeps giving you grief you can earth it out in the passenger footwell
you will then have no pad warning light but car will pass a mot-just need to visually inspect

Re: Stuck rubber strut mount

on the vivaros the rubber will stay in place if the bearing is badly furbar and this leaves the rubber in place-,just tug at it/pry it out-it feels like its moulded to the car,but its not you will find looking at the strut you removed it only has the centre of the bearing left on it under the nut,th...

Re: Wanted rs4 b7 coilovers

the finish on the bilstein coilovers lasts only a few months-with serious surface corrosion in less than 12,thats using the car when no salt on roads and greasing up the coilover threads
they work well enough but would never buy another set -waste of £800 odd quid at the time

Re: Front arms

re meyle hd-excellent quality

most important thing is when tightening the bolts do it with suspension loaded-weight of car on it
otherwise they get torn apart

and good luck with the upper pinch bolts-they can be a pita :beerchug:
