jpat are the company that overhauled tc,standard lockup clutch repalced,they seem very competent,also the valve block can be removed in situ in approx 20mins, easy,dont know about the diyer thing though

blowing coolant out of expansion tank & 500ppm HC in coolant whilst running.

As promised some pics of head gasket & gearbox rebuild , still waiting for torque converter & forward drive drum this part is very common & is on back order .
ps not sent many pics on line before,so ive prob f***ed it up!

got warning lamp on dash for engine temp , done a sniffer test on coolant to find head gasket failure! ho ho ho , just hope heads not cracked will prob do gearbox while out , if i can get to grips with tech i wil try & do pics of the job and attempt to post them for you,maybe you will be interested!...

Thinking of taking the 6 to the ring next year , will be the first time,anyone out there been & done it,any pitfalls apart from the obvious armco,would like your advice,do i need spare pads or tyres? gearbox maybe!not looking to break any records just want to do a few laps and make it home

Correction , its a known fault by audi,theres a pressure relief valve in between the banks, this fails allowing all pressure to be released overnight,bitch to change ive lived with mine since purchase , still offputting.

Sorry no outputs in diag socket,however at rear of dash pod blue 32 pin socket pin number 11 is trigger to tacho & i believe number 6 is supply , please check with neon test lamp first hth keith b.

17861 is engine out! book a loan car.
17743 has many causes inc map sensor maf sensors throttle body boost control coolant temp sensor , sounds like the dealer is going to be busy,nice if you post a fix when you get it back! good luck

Just to add i have 4 audi racks ,the locking mechs are good and they work really well,however they appear to be identical to thule stuff,but more expensive !

been viewing your post,just to clarify temperatures inside are all totally dependant of ambient temp but 5 degrees is about the best you'l get you prob just need routine re-gass but the oil can only be changed by removing pump & all other components ie condenser /evaporator/reciever dryer,you only r...

put me up ! Had enough now,3 sets of shocks in couple of years,drc valves each time, not to mention the continuous traveling to dealer & all the fuel they use, now the fronts are leaking again after 2000 miles now out of warranty!
