New glovebox (Audi A4 & 6cd changer)

I have now sucessfully rigged up my cd changer to the RNS-E.

The glovebox in my car (A4) is not the type to accept the changer.

I know that a specific CD changer glovebox can be fitted - does anyone have an idea of the cost and where to buy from (or is it a dealership order item?)

Many thanks Mark

As ever thanks Craig -

I have ordered the lead as recommended.

Can you tell me whether I will need to recode the RNS-e to tell it i have the CD changer - or will pluging it in be enough for it to recognise it???

The RNSE is from a 57 reg running i think the latest software.

cheers mark

Fitting cd changer to a4 with rns-e - what leads???

Hi I have a 57 reg a4 cab with rns-e. It has no cd changer currently. I have a genuine 6cd changer and want to connect it up. Will the car have the required lead already in place or will i need to buy a lead to connect it up. If so can you point me in the right direction? Im guessing it should be fa...

RE: Problems connecting Parrot Bluetooth to RNS-E

Thanks Matt - I have located the mute wire from the Parrot (yes 3200) - but am unsure where (what pin) I connect to on the RNS-E system.

Thank you for your help.

Regards, Mark

Problems connecting Parrot Bluetooth to RNS-E

Hi there - I am having real problems with the above. I have got eveything working, but when I use the Parrot only the front upper speakers mute. The rear speakers and I think the front lower ones continue to work. Is it just a case that I need to connect a mute wire - if so where does it connect to....

RE: Re: RE: Hoping to re-enter RS4 ownership...

Is there a generally feeling that these cars will settle in the late 20's - Say 28ish - At that money, for the performance, surely the depreciation curve must be fairly gentle?? I guess in 2010 when the new model arrives (a V6 supercharger by all reports) there will be another tumble - but the cars ...

RE: Hoping to re-enter RS4 ownership...

Looks a great spec car - but for me (being the larger frame) - i need to search out one with the comfort seats.

I guess a car that has had a few bits replaced is likley to be, if anything, more reliable than one which hasn't.

Thanks for your input and enjoy your hols ;@)
