RE: B7 A4 2.0T FSI Quattro Avant - Phantom Black
*curses* An afternoon in a C6 manual in central London reminded why I now have autos. If I were in't country it'd be a different matter. Ho hum.

Am I right in assuming this is a manual, rather than an auto?
I really hope it's an auto! /lazygit

Re: OEM New RS6 alloys with New Tyres
Gareth, you have a PM!
As I mentioned though, since it's an A6 not S6, I believe the standard fitment is the 17" wheel. I stand to be corrected of course!!

Re: OEM New RS6 alloys with New Tyres
Gareth,
Any idea if these rims will fit an A6 4.2 Quattro Sport '99?
I'm currently running the OEM mirror finished Competition alloys (I think they're called!) with 255/40/ZR17 rubber.
Thanks,
Rob

Re: TMC available for Audi Nav system!
Ah yes, the S8. I remember now!
Even though the A6 is our first Audi, I seem to be sucked into the Vortex of the brand. I'm in real trouble when they announce the new A6, I fear!

Re: TMC available for Audi Nav system!
Many thanks for the replies. For simplicity I'll probably stick to just getting an upgrade disc for my v.3 unit. I don't really use the car for work and so jam avoidance isn't so crucial. Just thought though, ChrisB don't/didn't you post regularly on the US AudiWorld Forum? I think we have conversed...

Re: TMC available for Audi Nav system!
TMC?? Traffic Management C.... something?
I have NavPlus in my '99 A6 4.2 and am using the original SatNav disc which is chronically out of date. Since mine is not DX can it use the TMC system?
Or failing that where can I get the very latest non DX disc from?
Many thanks!

Another newbie!
Just found this site and must say it's nice to find an Audi forum not biased towards our American cousins! I'm making do(!) with an A6 4.2 which was fully loaded by a dealer as a demo car. I'm hoping that I may be able to glean some useful tips about the 4.2 as a lot of you are running in differing ...
