When I only do about 3-5k miles a year in the car, its unlikely that i will need to replace them again!

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE:

If you only needed one follower then you were lucky. Personally, i would spend the 2k, but then i dont need to as the previous owner spent out for me. If timing belt is every 40k, then on 2nd change do cams! LOL F**k that. What a rubbish bit of engineering when you think about it. Ah well, life goes...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Some goo

You could spend all day moaning about it and discussing the issue of cam wear, but the fact is it will happen one day to your car, why dont you save yourselves a load of cash on followers and get them done BEFORE they destroy themselves?? Surely that makes more sense? Preventative maintainence is be...

Allard Motorsport RS4 Intercooler and carbon shrouds - FS

I have for sale drivers side Allard Motorsport RS4 intercooler and both carbon fibre shrouds. The passengers IC is badly damaged and the passengers shroud has some very very minor damage, doesnt in anyway affect its strength or shape. The kits are super expensive to buy, but as there is only 1 inter...

OK, i agree with that statement. Yes it is proper oil, but im sure you got the jist of my remark. Im sure there is someone here that will provide fact sheets about how great longlife oil is, but TBH IMO, in real life the "longlife" idea, doesnt lead to a very longlife.

RE: Re: RE: Some good news about camshaft wear...

The RS4 that i have just bought has had cams replaced inc followers at 73k miles, car was serviced on Longlife (until then, now has proper oil in it). Its a common problem with Longlife oil in general. Have come across a few 2.5 TDI's with the same problem.

WTD - Genuine B7 RS4 wheels

As title suggests, i would like a set of B7 Genuine RS4 wheels, dont need tyres, just the wheels. They dont have to be immaculate, but no super kerb grinders.

A "must have" for all S4's

I have been driving around in a mates S4 now for over a week. It has a dual 3" RS fabs exhaust, and i have to say that it is possibly the best sounding exhaust i have ever heard. Yes, it is loud and wont suit some this forums members, but that really doesnt bother me and you can still hear the radio...

RE: Black 20s

Also have seen the car in the flesh and they look mental. Just cos the collars dont match the cuffs, doesnt mean it looks bad. Wheels are a very personal choice. What one person likes, another person hates. With big wheels like this on a rare car such as the RS4, also being different being painted s...

I havent driven that car for a while now, but the last time i went in it is was fast (oct 07), since then its even faster.

Handles really well, and those seats despite having about 1" of foam are really comfy even on long journeys.

Nice car IMO, whens it for sale mate?

RE: The ring

Well, i was passenger in this mental trip to the ring with Doug. It has to be one of the best laughs i have had for ages. The food was ace, the hotel was spot on and the track is insane. Doug did all the driving over the weekend which was cool, i just got to sit back in the recaros and enjoy the rid...
