Re: RE: Time to go.....
WOW sorry to see you go fella, hope you pop in from time to time. You hit the nail on the head with the Summary. Whats the new car and did the RS4 go to a fellow member? Sonny Thanks Guys! I'm genuinely......."touched", but the less said about that the better! No "new" car unfortunately. Just need ...

Time to go.....
Well, that’s it. The car’s driven off with its new owner, bringing to an end three very happy years. All I’m left with is a small bottle of Titan GT1, some very happy memories & 6 points on my licence. :( Looking back, what are my impressions of the RS4? Performance: "Quite adequate". If it ha...

Regrettably, I think the B7 RS4 was bright flash in an otherwise dull Audi pan. Putting the R8 aside (for practicality & price reasons), there's nothing in the range that flips my switch (although the A8 they leant me while the DRC was being fixed was nice! ) They're just not FUN to drive. Onc...

I have ceramic brakes and had the same issue. Although my pads had 4mm or more of pad left, the brass pins holding the pad material to the backing were showing through and had just started to mark the discs. Low pad warning sensors were nowhere near being triggered! That's interesting. How many mil...

RE: Spotted this today
There were about 20 lined up in a row outside the Audi "High Rise" in the Le Mans paddock this year. Mostly white & red but all with ceramics. Can't say I was very taken with them. Just looked way too ordinary for me. I'm sure it's a very good car though, if that's your thing.

RE: Warranty woes
How depressing. At the end of the day (how I hate that term), a waranty is just an insurance policy and the insurer is governed by the same set of rules as any UK insurance company. Therefore you need to get their full attention and the best way of doing that is to use terms that their regulator and...

Re: Buying a Daytona Avant, Advice please!
Hi, I'm new to the site, I'm looking at an '07 Daytona Avant on Monday, I've been searching for the right one for a long time and my local dealer called me yesterday to tell me he has one coming in as a p/x next week. I've had a few fast audis before ('05 A3 3.2, '55 B7 S4 Avant) and I'm desparate ...

My opinion (and it's justs that) is that there is a good chance that the first owner will have driven the car hard including track use if they were going to spec these which isn't what I'd want from a previous owner of my car even if I tracked it myself. +1 Or it could be that some people simply li...

Re: RE: Noble M400 as a track toy?
I'm biassed towards the marque but if you want something hot, rwd and mid mounted then something like this is just the ticket. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1923810.htm A bit of stealth (nobody would be expecting 400bhp/ton), cheap to run (30mpg+ easy and cheap tax), insurance is not difficult a...

As we know, Colbornes (who own Camberley) do operate their "4 Life" scheme ( http://www.colbornes.co.uk/colbornes4life.aspx ), which gives some benefits. Haven't heard of it being cancelled. However, Rob did tell me that they give most of the benefits to RS4 owners automatically..........

Question if anyone knows: I prefer to left foot brake and does anyone know if a remap can turn off the system that prevents throttle and brakes at the same time? These insidious systems are creeping in all over the place on all types of cars. I even saw one article that claimed that cutting the thr...

Sorry to put a very negative spin on this but the majority of cars are now stolen with the key. Most people keep the key in their house, so in order for the scumbags to get the key they have to break in. Hopefully you are not asleep when this happens. After all of this do you then want you car trac...
