Re: De-badge or not to de-badge

Mine was debadged at front, rear and rear doors. Coupled with the fact it was mugello blue, this made it quite subtle I thought.

Re: Been offered Maserati GranTurismo.....?

TimDogg, your conclusions didn't surprise me, I have to say. If you don't need adult sized rear seats and you're really after a (quasi-)GT car, it would be hard to justify the GranTurismo at that price & with that mileage when, even at Nissan dealerships, 15,000 mile 09 plate GTRs are now starting t...

Re: Been offered Maserati GranTurismo.....?

This is the standard Granturismo (4.2 litres, from memory), not the Granturismo S (4.7 litres)? I drove the Granturismo S auto a while back - nice car, and the power delivery seemed just about right. I'd hazard a guess that the 4.2 litre Granturismo might be a little bit lacking in punch (it's a big...

Friday 3 February @ 10.15am, Grove Park

Sonny, I may have spotted you (again). Daytona grey saloon EX06 ***, Nurburgring sticker on the back, driving north past Grove Park station as I was waiting to turn right onto Chinbrook Road.

I've heard some good things about Oxted Trimming (www.oxtedgroup.co.uk/index.shtml).

'08 Plate RS4 Sprint Blue Cab - Shortlands

At around 11.20am today; behind me at the traffic lights on Shortlands Road, then turned right under the railway bridge and (I think) left onto Ravensbourne Avenue.

Re: What car next?

As per Oak's comment, you might want to step outside the "Audi bubble" and look at what else is out there. I don't think there's anything in the current, or recent, Audi ranges that could match an RS4's handling (apart from the R8), hence the consideration of other marques. If your budget's £40k, yo...

Black B7 RS4 Avant - 57 Plate (Bromley)

With black optics, at Plaistow Green at around 5.30pm today. I was behind you, having joined the Green from Plaistow Lane.

Re: Black B7 RS4 Saloon R5 *** Bromley

Didn't catch the reg, but I saw a black B7 RS4 saloon (maybe the same one) on Plaistow Lane, heading towards Plaistow Green, at around 9.10 this morning. Also, a belated spot - saw a sprint blue B7 RS4 saloon on Bromley Common (heading south) on Sunday at around 2.30pm, being followed by a white 911...

Barcelona - not too far, and good city/beach combination. Have stayed at the Hotel Arts; great rooftop pool.

Re: Driving Shoes - Merrell 'Barefoot' Tough Glove

Gant Joyriders - despite a name that a Bronski Beat tribute band wouldn't be ashamed of, they're great driving shoes. Any Tods driving shoes are great to wear. I also have a pair of old Bally suede driving shoes that have lasted really well.

Re: August 26th Sheffield - Monte Carlo

Sorry - can't find route details, but I do recall we stayed at L'Assiette Champenoise in Reims, La Maison des Tetes in Colmar, the Romantikhotel Florhof in Zurich, the Hotel Greif in Bolzano and the Hotel Gabbia d'Oro in Verona. I would advise driving east to west across the Stelvio pass (those hair...

Re: August 26th Sheffield - Monte Carlo

We did London - Reims - Colmar - Bolzano - Verona (and back) a few years ago in our old Caterham 7; will see if I can dig out the route. Photos of the trip are at http://rides.webshots.com/album/456593497jjqWuq?start=0. You may need stuff like high visibility vests, and from memory you'll need to pa...
