Sounds like ignition amp thats not charging the coils properly resulting in a week spark that finds an alternative earth when under load hence not very clean through the rev range and worse with higher boost! Although a pain to do try new plugs as brand new plugs dont initialy require as high a volt...

I had my RS4 upgraded by Revo it was fantastic in all areas, it really is a must have.

I have one brand new (still in the Audi box) hard alloy wanted £100 make me an offer. I am about an hour from you.

I am shortly going to sell my RS4 (Noggy, silver leather, 53500miles, 2001) it is as new, hard alloys new tyres, clutch, gearbox & diff replaced at 45(ish)k. Poor Audi i am such a perfectionist the slightest noise or squeak i moan so much they change it under warranty just to get rid of me, FASH not...

My engine management light came on yesterday, stayed on until i started the car again and has not come on since! its in for a new diff on the 10th March they can have a look a what code it saved, i will let you know. [img]images/graemlins/thumbs.gif[/img]

WR = 10 valve, solid valve lifters, some would say easier to tune 50/50 torque split, lockable center and rear diff. MB = 10 valve hydraulic lifters, water cooled turbo, anti stall device, torque sensing diff 70/30 30/70 split lockable rear up to 15mph etc not as easy to raise boost! K jetronic fuel...

Over the last 5000 miles of mixed driving mine has averaged 21.7mpg and has now gone down to 21.4mpg with the Revo code on, but boy is it a better car to drive with the code on! [img]images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
