Re: Replacing the head unit
I've just fitted the DMX8019DABS to my car. I had it working with Bose first of all then remove the Bose and added a DSP Amp and new speakers. I had the same problem when I first wired it up with Bose. You need to make sure the blue remote turn on wire is connected from the head unit to the quadlock...

Re: TPMS Error - How to find faulty sensor
If you can get hold of a vagcom/VCDS cable you can read the measurement data from the sensors. From memory, I think it identifies the sensors based on the rotation and signal strength. I can investigate further is you haven't solved it by now.

Re: TPMS question
I'm pretty sure I had the same issue. Make sure and turn the ignition on for at least 30 seconds without starting the engine before trying to access the menu.

Re: TPMS question
I think I had a similar issue when I replaced the sensors on my winter wheels. See this thread

Try accessing the wheel change menu after leaving the ignition on for 30 seconds but don't start the engine.

Re: Recommend me a good garage in Scotland
A4Audi in Clydebank, Glasgow are excellent. My Rs4 B7 has been looked after by Andy since I got it 4 years ago. I got some extensive work completed on the engine last year due to a valve issue. They know the Rs4 very well as everytime I'm in they seem to have one in for a bit of work. They will do c...

If you're looking for a full set of valves and sensors then this is a good source. I put a set on my winter wheels.

Re: Roof Boxes and Bars
Atera SIGNO RT aluminium bars work very well and look great. The Thule Spirit 780 is a nice slimline box that looks good on the avant but I don't think it's available anymore.

Re: Death by Suspension
I wanted to keep mine standard and paid for 3 shock replacements in my first 2 years of ownership. I spoke to the last dealer and they confirmed all four have now been replaced. I thought they would last as first pair were replace in 2012 but last autumn the knocking started. Now replaced with Biste...

Re: Will these fit?
I have the A5 equivalent as my winter wheels and they fit but only just. There is only just enough space for the caliper and I have a spigot ring because of the bore different. There's a bit of a difference in the offset and they are a bit wider. I would try before you buy if you can. 8T0601025M ET ...

Re: iPod connection.
I've wired one of these airmusic boxes into the glove box. You need an iphone or another device that supports airplay but is works great with spotify. No track names on the RNS screen though, you need your iphone in a holder to select the music. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AirMusic-AirPlay-WIFI-DLNA-M...
