new VCDS Hex Net wi-fi interface

Hi, I just received an email from Ross-tech about their latest product, a wifi version of VCDS that will work with any wifi enabled device with a web browser such as smartphones, tablets and of course laptops with any o/s. It's only for sale in US right now so we can't get it yet but I thought peopl...

Re: Is this car anyones here ?

I thought it looked quite a good price too. I may be in the market for one of these in the not too distant future so keeping an eye on prices and specs of what comes up for sale. As a few other people have mentioned I expect I'll wait until there are a number of C7 deliverys to see if it pushes pric...

Is this car anyones here ?

Saw this RS6 for sale privately and wondered if it's someones from this site. You don't see too many RS6's for sale privately.

Re: Air Bag fault

Hi, you maybe able to reset the airbag light with a cheap cable from ebay. I'm not sure what airbag module you have on the RS6, but my S4 had the dreaded '65535' error that I couldn't reset with a VCDS cable so I got this and it worked fine. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAG-Audi-VW-Volkswagen-Seat-Skod...

winter tyre question

Hi I have a couple of spare wheels with winter tyres (exactly same size as the normal summer tyres) and am going to fit them to my S4 for the winter. I know in an ideal situation I would have 4 fitted but the other two tyres are still in really good condition so I don't want to change them so is it ...

Thanks, so it sounds like it is necessary to make the can bus changes, I'll look in to this from the information in other posts on here.

Do you know about the different models - is it possible to use any of the concert 2s from A3/A4/A6/TT ?

Hi I would like to do this upgrade in my 2001.5 B5 S4 Avant. I currently have the concert 1/bose + phatbox and want to upgrade to concert 2. I have some questions: 1/ There appears to be different Concert 2 models for A3/A4/A6/TT - do they all fit in the B5 S4 or do I need a specific one ? I have se...

No, neither of these look like the original S4 wallet. The one that I have is leather (or something that looks like leather) but these two appear to be fabric. I have seen the S4 ones for sale on ebay in the past along with handbooks, so you just need to keep on checking until one comes up.

Hi Everyone, I changed the EGT1 sensor on Saturday and cleared the codes and drove around yesterday without the yellow engine management light appearing, however this morning during a short trip to work the yellow light appeared again and after checking the codes again I still see the system too ric...

I dont think I have an air leak because I just checked my receipt for the 80k service that was done a couple of weeks ago and it says that the air leak test was ok. It definitely looks like the EGT sensor is faulty even if its not the only problem. I plan to order one up today and replace that first...

Thanks for the help, I will get a new EGT sensor ordered up in the next few days and hopefully that will fix the problem.

Is there anyway to know for sure if the car has been modified, I'm fairly sure it hasn't but as I haven't had it from new it would be interesting to check.

I would suggest you check your MAF out first. Log using VAG COM. The EGT failure may be the result of another underlying issue so until you have eliminated that or discounted a root problem then you could be wasting money just changing the EGT Sensor. Yes the Hitachi MAF is more reliable - not inde...

Re: RE: EGT DTC code and System too rich problem

Looks like EGT1 is shot. They overfuel slightly to keep engine temp down. How has your fuel economy been recently? Not sure on the parts but someone will be along soon no doubt! The drivers side one is easy to get to though. Thanks for your reply, fuel economy has been about 22mpg recently but its ...
