What difference does it make if the policeman was alone in his car?
I've read it as fact that a policeman does NOT have to be with a partner to do you for speeding.

stuttering engine - HELP!!
The strangest thing happened today. Driving my standard S4 home when i decided to floor it in second. It accelerated fine until it hit about 4000rpm and then all of a sudden it started jerking as if it was hitting a rev limiter. The ESP was left on as usual but the ESP indicator did not flash. The r...

Re: Sainsbury Petrol Can it make that much difference?
i drive a S4 biturbo and find that Sainsbury's Super is just fine. You'll find a thread on the general car chat on Sainsbury's fuel about a month ago or so. (I tried a link but it wouldn't work, bloody computers!)

Re: How old????
Sorry Simon I'll never be convinced by Skylines. Never driven one (I am only 19) but I've had a ride in a couple and they were all over the shot.
Try driving one and maybe you'll see the light. Utterly amazing performance cars.

Re: M3
Might be harder to drive in the wet, but in the dry the M3 handles beautifully. There's no question that BMW generally make dynamically superior cars to Audi.

Re: ECU upgrade!
I dont know if I am getting carried away but having drove my mates 2002 Porsche Turbo I would say it is not far off that kind of performance. Am I being daft?
Er, yes.
I'm sure it's a very quick car, but a Porsche Turbo? No, sorry mate.

Daft Question
this will probably sound daft but, i know the appearance of little clouds of blue smoke usually mean impending turbo failure (or engine failure) but does the engine have to be in gear for you to see the smoke or can it be in neutral. ie. can i just get my wife to rev the knackers out of the engine w...

Re: How old????
I test drove a Supra when i was 24 (those were the days) and it scared the sh#t out of me. 6 speed manual, 330bhp, 330lbft. Absolutely amazing car, but all that power and torque with RWD was too much for me at the time. Thing would have killed me. As well as it's performance though, it did have a lo...

Re: Who fills their car to the brim with fuel???
I used to take my bike to tracks a lot, and some people said that if you went for a dump before, the bike went faster
Please tell me that the comment about taking a dump is actually taking the p#ss.

Re: Who fills their car to the brim with fuel???
For a new S4 Avant (heavier than previous version) Audi claim an unladen weight of 1755 Kgs which does include a driver and some fuel. Think they allow for about 80 Kgs for a driver and half a tank of petrol. I think the previous S4 was about 200 Kgs lighter. According to the stats on this site, it...
