Well I went to see it tonight Really tidy example with piles of paper work It had a new clutch at about 40K and a new gear box at 20K or so........I dont see this as a problem. Needs an MOT - so have asked him to do that and a check at audi to highlight any issues - if big problems then no go, if no...

Actually................when is the cambelt due? is it 40? 60? 80? - Audi told me 60

Thats the one........it has been up for sale but not on the trader so obviously not much response - will see how it looks tonight (I know it needs a cambelt and service but if we can come to a deal I should be in an RS4 soon!)

Thanks - that was my guess, Im not driving it anywhere till he does it. The way I see it If I buy it before it could go wrong on the way to the dealership - leaving me fuuucked, if he does it up front I have no risk.

Going to look at a car - Ive found out it needs the cambelt doing(overdue actually) and a service

Can anyone give me a rough idea on cost of this! ? This is obviously going to affect how much Im prepared to give him for it!
