Sorry I'm late to this but...

There is a known scam on e-bay which is very, very, very similar to this and whilst I'm not saying this is a scam, it looks very similar.

E-mail me if you want details but I don't want sueing if this is the one genuine one!

Thanks for the advice.

I had the car in the garage and it was the linkage which had seized. I had both the linkage and motor changed just to be safe as the car with no wipers is a paperweight!!!

Alls well now then! :D

Cheers

I had the wiper problem on mine when they skowed and then stopped. QST fitted a new wiper and linkage (you can't be too careful!!) in about 2 hours. Parts and labour under £300. I thought that wasn't bad.

Slow Wipers

I was wondering if anyone else had experienced slow wipers? When first used, they are very slow, juddering as they cross the screen. They speed up after a bit of use but they're not right and I just know they'll pack-up at midnight on the motorway in the snow!!! I had the garage try to lubricate any...

Harry, I think the lack of response is due to the fact that most people would recommend you not to do it!!! The back brakes do so little of the braking, they shouldn't need upgrading if they're in good working condition. I have Porker 993 turbo brakes on the front and standard Audi on the back (alth...

ChrisB, I hadn't thought of that so will take it out and have a look (I've never removed it since I've had the car! I also read about re-loading the software, preferably with a later version if its worthwhile and possible. I need to re-read-up about it. I wasn't aware of the group on Yahoo for this ...

Nige, Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, the problem is not that its searching for the satelites, its the unit re-booting itself as if you'd just switched it on. The display says wait while the unit is intialising (or something similar) and then starts. I thought maybe a lose connection for the po...

HELP - Sat Nav Problems

Can anyone help? I've got a 2000 S4 2.7 twin turbo with the genuine sat-nav and tv fitted. Driving along either on show map or directions, the unit will, after a while, re-set itself as if its just been switched on. Worse still, when it comes back, sometimes there's no roads on the map, just a blank...

Gavin, Just had my cambelt changed on my S4 by QST a month or so ago. I got them to do it approaching 60k miles as I don't know the history of the car and it may have had a hard life (the RS4 recommends them at 40k) and I wanted to be safe. You need to get them to change the cam belt tensioner at th...

Prawn, There's nothing like cheek so here goes.... I am heading into France for the weekend of 12th/13th for that well known race that seems to go on all day (and night!). I'm taking the S4 so having a French disc for the sat nav (June 2000 S4) would help show the boys in their TVR's a thing or two!...

Don't bother with the official dealer unless you really need the warranty. I've just had mine serviced by QST and its never felt better since I've had it, despite the best efforts of the main dealer! Don't forget to look at what you're paying. At about £80 an hour, they're not really going to do any...

I'm running the same size tyres as you with lowered H&R coilovers. I run 38 all round and will increase by about 4 lbs for the loaded charge to Le Mans. :biggrin3:

At 38, the right is excellent. Really very comfortable given the handling.

What brand of tyres are you using?

Cheers

Re: Advice on Sat Nav for S4

Slightly off topic (apologies) but I have sat nav as original fit, along with Bose and was wondering if anyone could tell me the best way to get an up-to-date disc for it. I guess I could get one from the stealers but I'd rather save my money for more useful upgrades! Thanks in advance Rob [img]imag...

Re: ABS warning light

Rob, I have to say I'm shocked at the response of the customer care department. There must be something they're not letting on to you. No-way should they treat you like this. Ask to speak to a manager, then his manager, until you get a director on the line. Firstly, I refer to my previous advice, ge...
