I've just spoken to a main dealer services dept. about maybe popping in to have the G62 sensor replaced.... Hi all been away a while but back now... My question is this - over the last few weeks the RS4's front fan has been going for at least 5-10 mins after I have turned off the ignition. Possibly dumb but relevant question - if you rev the (already warmed up) engine in neutral, what happens to the turbos? Do they spool up? Do they generate boost pressure? If there was nasty turbo noise, would it be audible with the car stationary but revved??

Sounds exactly like a CV joint having gone - they then leak the lubricant and tick or click when the wheel is turned (eg in a multi-storey) when turning.

Turbo related codes
Hi all
What sort of codes would a knackered / failing / noisey turbo produce? In other words what should I see from vag-com if there is a problem? Or can they go without throwing any codes??
