Re: INTERNAL PADDLING POOL !!!!!!!!

Hi, I had exactly the same a few years ago and it was the rubber gromitt that seals the bonnet pull cable, where it goes through the bulkhead. Mine had pulled through and was mainly just making the o/r footwell soaked, it must be the lowest point. Not sure if you have covered this, but once I popped...

My RS6 Write off!!!

Guys, Advice please.. My beloved 2003 red RS6 was stolen after breaking in my house and nicking the keys. The cops found it a day or so later and has had a hard impact on the O/S front wheel and pushed it back 3-4 inches. Estimate for repair is in the region of £7500 and they want to write it off. Q...

Hi, I have a 2003 avant and had the very same problem. I found in the end that the rubber grommet that seals the bonnet release cable when entering through the bulk head on the drivers side had slipped through and after heavy rain it would pool in the engine bay ledge under the windscreen and come t...

Bonnet release cable

Hi I wonder if someone can help, or have a look at theirs. Attached is a picture of the bonnet release cable that goes from the engine bay into the drivers side footwell to the bonnet release leaver. I am getting water through here and wondering if there is a rubber watertight bung missing. There is...

Speaker whistle

Hi Guys, Does anyone know how to remove the little speaker that's fitted in the rear door by the door opener? Reason is I get a high pitched whistle from just one of them after about ten minutres of the radio/cd being on. The whistle is linked to engine revs, but if you power off the radio and back ...

Hi Shaggy, I have a feeling there is only one fog light, as I am in the same situation and also, to get to the bulb looks a major job for DIY. I'm sure some of our experts on this forum will be able to enlighten us.
Regards, Neilboy.

Thanks for the info Golfather. I'll have a look in daylight. Is it enclosed in a black box assembly or will it jump out at me?

Hi, does anyone know where the pollen filter lurks on the RS6 and is it a simple DIY swap out? Ta.

Hello all. Does anyone know of a good R6 service company like MRC, but in Kent. I live very near Brands Hatch.

Thanks Gymtec.
I did get the stealer to check for holes etc at its last service, but not to that extent. As I'm fresh out of warranty now, I might just get the rear passengers to wear wellies!!

Thanks Dave, the wading possibilty did cross my mind as we have quite a few puddles round here, but I inspected the door seals and there was NO trace of water ingress and strangley, the water when I mop it out is crystal clear. Didn't sniff it to see if it smelt of as my neighbour was watching and w...

[quote="Daveperc"]I had a problem recently with water ingress through the lower door seals at the front when I went through some deep puddles. ICheers RSVI, I did try a search, but could not see the wood for the trees.

Rear passenger footwell soaked

Hi people, I am experiencing a soaking wet rear off side passenger footwell. I thought at first one of my kids had left the window open. Dried it out but I noticed that the floor is waterlogged again! it seems to be only this side. Does the rear wash pipe run this route and I have a leak. Thanks for...
