my audi dealer (Peterborough) told me they could get me a cradle to fit the fitting, they faxed me a long list of phones that that were suitable and I got the phone and they sent me the cradle.

The socket is attached to the towbar and lives behind the diffuser, it pivots down when needed. If one is a perfectionist it would be easy to have small section of black plastic that would clip on to cover the small section that has been removedI.

This company may be too far north for you but I have had no problems with them over a number of years with different wheels, my only caveat is that if there is an issue with matching the colour of our rs4 wheels you need to query it. I would be interested (in case I kerb mine) as to your final solut...

Iam not certain of the legal answer but whilst I think you are right I suspect that Audi could be awkward. Perhaps ask the specialist garage what their experiance is of this situation and see if you can speak to an existing customer of theirs who had need to go back to Audi within his/her warranty p...
