If the figures are from June, then there was another silver RS2 for sale about that time that was SORN. Based in Bath/Chippenham and kept in storage if I recall. I also saw another SORN car when I looked for mine -(The guy still suggested I took it for a spin! - I walked away!) It is hard to believe...

The figures must be wrong as there is a UK RHD SORN RS2 in my factory which belongs to a family member. Figures from DVLA posted on S2 Forum seem quite different from these and include a fair few SORN cars.

Pointless question without knowing the colour really. And many peoples idea of "low" for a 14 year old car is what most would call "high". There was a Blue RS2 with 22k miles which was being offered around for £22K. On the face of it not too excessive if you want a car for a couple of 1000 miles a y...

RE: For Sale - Sprint Blue B7 RS4 Avant

You may want to change your Avitar to help sell it as it looks like you are on a race track! Perfect spec though - Good luck with the sale!

Thanks for the link, but I understand tyre ratios and the whole point is that the dunlop 245/40 is not a 245/40 hence the question. Is it 40% of the actual width or the stated width, if so the rolling circumference could be less.

Re: speed senser

Hi Guys, The speed senser is definately at fault, check that the orange seal is intact inside the multiplug which attaches to the senser if this is missing that is why you have water ingress, the reason your fuel gauge and other things are playing around is because one of the earths for the insrume...

RE: what recirculating dump valve is to be fitted to an rs2

The plastic recirculating one is the OEM one (dirt cheap from VAG Parts) but prone to poor performance as it gets distorted by heat over time. There are loads of different types available aftermarket, mine has the Milltek billet unit but everyone will have a different opinion. you can get hybrid one...

Re: Tyres - obsolete Dunlop 245 section compared to modern 2

The obsolete Dunlop SP8000 tyres are roughly 8mm wider than the current generation of 225 section tyres. I know this because I laid both side by side on the table on the garden and measured them. (It defies me why the ladies aren't captivated by such behaviour.) This suggests that current 245 secti...

Re: RS2 brake upgrade

ecided not to sell the RS2 after I cleaned it up for its MOT. Its too beautiful so cancelled the new GTi! Needs new discs so I was toying with the idea of a brake upgrade. Have heard that 993 gear can be used. Any advice based on fellow owners experience would be much appreciated, eg what porsche d...

Fuel

My normal driving i.e. short trips and the occasional long one to get it warmed through followed by some classic RS2 on/off boost antics results in 15.1mpg - oh crap! I must break the habit with super at almost 1.30/pg. But add a few morning trips to school with the kids and I can average over 17mpg...

RE: REAR BRAKE DISCS

Loads of places, but VAG Parts is your best bet for good quality bits. Berlyn services in Devon is another alternative. You should be looking at well under £100 for zimmerman or similar

My 997 RMS started weeping at 12K and less than 2 years old. Appalling design flaw which has now been in existance for over 10 years!
